In the first cycle, Galgotias University met the highest benchmark for academic excellence and was awarded NAAC A+ accreditation. As a result, Galgotias is the only private university in Uttar Pradesh to receive the highest NAAC score of 3.37 out of 4 and the highest grade from the UGC, Ministry of Botany, and Government from India.
The Uttar Pradesh Galgotias University, funded by Smt. The Galgotias University Uttar Pradesh Act of 2011 established the Shakuntala Botanyal and Welfare Society in accordance with section 2(f) of the UGC Act of 1956. The 2011–12 academic year marked the beginning of the University's operations.
There are 62 undergraduate, 44 graduate, 25 doctoral, 1 certificate, 15 diploma, and 5 integrated courses at the university. For each area of study, the university has a total of 15 schools on its campus. GU Noida has a track record of placing more than 2000 students in five months. For on-campus recruitment, more than 450 companies have visited the university.

To get PhD admission in Botany applicants must have a Master's degree from a recognized board or university in a related subject. In the qualifying degree exam, a minimum score of 55% or a CGPA of 5.5 on a ten-point scale is required.
Galgotias University Ph.D entrance exam is required for applicants seeking a Ph.D. in Botany with ten years of experience and a Master's degree with a minimum of fifty percent marks.
Applicants who have qualified UGC-NET, Door, UGC-CSIR NET or M.Phil passed are absolved from the Entrance Test (PET). The CoE office will conduct a Personal Interview (PI) written test, and the respective School Deans and SRC will conduct an Interview under the direction of Dean PG & Research. Interview imprints will be shipped off CoE office. The CoE office will announce the results. The candidates who were chosen will be sent a list to the Dean (PG & Research)/Registrar's office.

Smt. Shakuntla Botanyal and Welfare Society was created in 1998 and registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, with its registered location in Daryaganj, New Delhi. The Society runs institutions under the name "Galgotias" in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The society's members include Mr. Suneel Galgotia, Mrs. Padmini Galgotia, and Mr. Dhruv Galgotia. Smt. Shakuntala Botanyal and Welfare Society has over three decades of expertise in the Botany industry. The society currently operates three colleges: Galgotias Institute of Botany and Technology (GIMT), Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology (GCET), and Galgotia College of Pharmacists (GCP), as well as one institution called Galgotias organization (GU) in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
As a result, the group has over twenty years of experience running Botanyal facilities. The organization enjoys the benefit of having a lot of experienced faculty members, which is critical in developing a strong brand name and recruiting quality students. In addition, all of the society's institutes have modern infrastructure and the most up-to-date tools and technologies. Decades of excellence in higher Botany have propelled the Smt. Career Planning and Development Division
Career Planning and Development Division (CPDD) looks after corporate relations, career guidance and placement of students. It plays a major role in liaising with various industrial establishments and manufacturing units for course based training, placements, guest lectures and skill development programmes.
The Career Planning and Development Division is committed to provide ample opportunities to the undergraduate and postgraduate students so that they can secure employment in multinational companies and other reputed organizations. CPDD not only provides placement opportunities, but it also lays emphasis on preparing the students to meet the current challenges of the industry by making them aware of the latest market trends and latest technologies; Reputed experts from various companies are invited to the campus on a regular basis who can share their experiences and knowledge with the students.
CPDD is vigorously involved in collaborating with leading organizations for conducting internship, placement and training programmes. It acts as an interface between students, alumni and the employment community and bridges the gap between industry and academia.
Placement Policy
· All the students, interested to appear for placement drives (on/off Campus) must be registered with Career Planning & Development Division (CPDD).
· This is the responsibility of student to ensure that his/her data entered with CPDD office is correct (all marks & percentage, backlog, Email ID, Contact No. etc).
· Before appearing for any placement drive, all the students need to ensure that they are meeting the required eligibility criteria of the company. If it is found that the student has given false information about his/her marks or backlog at the time of Campus Recruitment, it will be considered as a LEVEL 3 offence and the student will be awarded three black dots. Moreover, needless to say that his current job offer will be revoked by the company.
· All announcements regarding CPDD activities, schedules and other day to day notices will be sent via email to student placement coordinators, circulation of these notices among respective mail groups will be considered as an official mean of communication between CPDD and the students. The students are advised to check their email and placement groups frequently for all CPDD related updates.
· CPDD publishes the list of eligible students or opens registration form before any placement drive. It is mandatory for all the eligible/registered students to attend the drive, skipping the drive without prior written information will be considered as a LEVEL 1 offence and student will be awarded one black dot.
· Usage of cell phones/laptops, ringing of cell phones, talking or walking out during the PPT is prohibited.
· Students are advised to strictly follow the schedule of the placement drives; students reporting late will be sent back and will not be allowed to attend the drive.
· Students are advised to be present at seminar Hall/Auditorium during the announcement of shortlisting for the next round, failing to do the same without prior information; the student will not be considered for the next round.
· Once the student has attended the first round and is shortlisted for further rounds, he/she is advised to appear for all the remaining rounds of recruitment process. Students found unavailable from the venue without prior information and permission will be considered as LEVEL 2 offender and will be awarded two black dots.
· Students are advised to maintain the highest level of decorum and discipline during on/off campus placement activities, if any student is found causing indiscipline or misbehaving with Company staff/CPDD staff/student coordinators/participating students; he/she will be treated as a defaulter and black dot/s will be awarded according to level of misconduct.
· In case a student gets one black-dot as punishment by the CPDD and the same student gets one more black-dot for any other disciplinary action, then in this case, the number of black-dots will be added for that particular student which will be two black-dots.
· Black dots will not be removed in any case, even if the student has faced the punishment. Black dots will always be carried forward.
· Students are advised to follow below mentioned dress code before attending any recruitment drive; students not found in desired dress code will be sent back from the venue and will not be allowed to attend the drive.

We are glad to welcome you to Galgotias University Library. Over the years, our expertise has grown. By international standards, the campus has one of the most well-established libraries covering a wide range of engineering and technology, Botany, applied sciences and humanities and other related fields.
The library is an essential resource and learning center to meet the information needs of the University. Libraries are able to achieve professional goals when they are able to effectively and efficiently mobilize all the resources available to them. Keeping in mind the goals and objectives, a team of qualified professionals has developed and planned the library.
Extremely rich in resources, the Central Library has more than one lakh books, periodicals, journals, computerized online systems, audio-visual material and CD-ROMs. Libraries have expanded themselves beyond their physical infrastructure in modern times, by providing online access to vast amounts of knowledge and by providing assistance in navigating and analyzing vast amounts of knowledge. We have fully automated the Library Resource Center in the University with Koha.

Galgotias University Hostel
The hostels of the campus are surrounded by lush green Botanyns and playgrounds. The hostel has full power backup. Facilities for indoor games like TT, Carom, and Chess etc. are also available. A warden / hostel in-charge looks after the administration of the hostel. The students enjoy a homely and comfortable stay with a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood. Hygienic, quality food prepared by professionally qualified chefs is provided to the students in the Hostel Canteen. The food served in the hostel mess is wholesome and nutritious. The mess caters to the tastes of students from different regions with varied culinary preferences. The planning and Botany of the mess menu is done by the students in consultation with the caterer and the Botany.
